Fall Clinics - Tuesdays

We will be offering Fall Clinics geared toward a beginner player and an intermediate player.

The beginner basketball player in 1st through 3rd grade (6-9 years old) is a child with some experience who is still learning the fundamental rules, mechanics, and basic motor skills of the game. They are learning the proper form to finish a lay-up.

The intermediate basketball player in 2nd and 3rd grade (7-9 years old) is a child who has moved past basic coordination and can dribble, pass, and shoot with some control during a modified game. They have the proper form in finishing a lay-up.

Both clinics will have a focus on individual skills, team drills and scrimmage play. Individual skills will include ball handllng, passing, one-on-one moves and lay-ups. Team drills will focus on passing, shooting and floor positioning (spacing) on a fast break. The scrimmage will have active feedback and on-the-spot coaching with demonstration.

Is this a drop-off program?

A: For our beginner sessions (1st and 2nd graders), we require a parent or guardian to stay on-site (and sometimes actively participate) to help players stay engaged and ensure a safe environment.

What is your policy regarding behavioral disruptions?

A: To ensure a safe, productive, and fun environment for everyone, we maintain a strict behavior policy. If a player is continuously disruptive, disrespectful to coaches, or unsafe to others, they will be given a warning. if the behavior continues, we reserve the right to remove the player from the program without a refund.

I'm not sure if my child should join the Beginner or Intermediate session. What should I do?
